I really enjoyed "Exiled" and it made me wonder why they did that if they weren't bringing Christopher Noth back to the show. I know he is on HBO's Sex and the City, but many actors do two shows at once.
I don't particularly like the new female ADA though. She is pushy and very rough. Maybe she will grow on me, but I have my doubts.

I have long been a fan of Law and Order--great to just now find this discussion forum. I'm afraid I liked Michael Moriarty better than Sam Waterston, but I admit that I do like Sam's passion in the courtroom.....and Jerry Orbach can't be beaten in the Law portion (unless they brought back Paul Sorvino).
And the new ADA is super. Angie Harmon is just what the show needed--brash, tough, "Hang'em all" attitude. Uh, I guess I'm biased though. I was Angie's U.S. History teacher in high school---so please forgive me for gushing about seeing her on a hit show.

I too am a great L&O fan. Not only do we see it on NBC but A&E runs it several times during the day. I enjoy both the old and new ones. Sam Waterson is my favorite over Michael Moriarty. The verdict is still out on the ADA. I really liked the first one, did not like the second one at all and have not made my mind up yet about the current one. Jerry O. has got to be my favorite cop. But can you imagine him and Paul Sorvino on as partners. The producers should consider that one. My family knows that Wednesday night at 9:00 is all quite at our house!!

My three special angels.....
I truly enjoy this show and am glad to find so many others share this feeling. I watch or tape this show twice each weekday and three times on Wednesday. I find their story lines relevant and thought provoking. I think after rewatching some of the Moriarity shows, Mccoy definitely takes top honors in my estimation. I also am still out on the ADA, but Jerry Orbach gets my vote. I like Mike Noth as well as Ben Brait. While I admire Paul Sorvino as an actor, he just doesn't fit in with interpretation of a NY City police officer.
As a matter of fact, last night's episode where McCoy went after the leader of a skin head gang was very good. I remarked to my husband that it was a shame he didn't prosecute O.J. Simpson or for that matter, even go after Bill Clinton. Heck, what am I saying, even Jessica Fletcher could have convicted O.J. Carol D.
Law and Order is definitely my favorite show on TV today!!! I liked Ben Stone better than Jack McCoy... but this new ADA has got to go!!! Bring back Claire Kincaid from the dead or get Jaime Ross back, but this new girl is ridiculous!!! She takes everything WAY too personally. It seems as though she has a personal connection and reason to get upset about every case. Rey Curtis is ok, and all, but he is NO MIKE LOGAN!!! There will never be a replacement for him, and how can you not love Lenny Briscoe?!? Of course Lt. Van Buren and Adam Schiff are great too!!!

My three special angels.....
I definitely agree with you about the ADA. While Claire and Jamie were both good at their job, they also seemed real and human. I just don't have this same feeling for the current one.

I say bring Richard Brooks back, although I liked Claire next best and miss her.

If memory serves me, I remember an episode not to long ago where Richard Brooks went over to the other side. He was counsel for the defense up against Jack McCoy. He gave him a run for his money to. The story line indicated that we may be seeing more of him as a defense attorney.

I remember that one, Carol. Richard Brooks, Chris Noth and the original actor who played the other cop opposite Chris Noth (blonde older man). Those are my favorites, although this is one of my favorite shows on TV. Like Homicide, Life on the Street, very much. Have followed that one through all its many changes too.
